I work one-on-one and with small groups of students who are brand new to yoga or interested in deepening their practice.  My focus is giving you the personal instruction and support you need.  I design classes to fit your unique lifestyle, schedule, limitations and interests.  I will travel to your home (or anywhere you choose) – on your time, and lead you through a practice created just for you.  I will work side-by-side with you to help make yoga an integral part of your life.  Along with Vinyasa Ashtanga and Yin Yoga, I also lead Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation.

Yoga will increase your mental focus, flexibility, strength, ease of breathing, and injury prevention.  It calms the mind, relieves stress, promotes weight loss, improves sleep, enhances your sense of balance, and will contribute to your general happiness!

Yin Yoga – slow, mostly on the ground, and targeting connective tissue. In Yin Yoga, we hold poses between 3-5 minutes. The three principles of Yin are finding your edge, being still, and holding the pose. Yin is yielding, allowing, and nourishing.

Vinyasa Yoga – lots of movement at a steady pace.  Vinyasa Yoga focuses on the flow between postures and the connection of breath and movement. Vinyasa classes can be designed to move between any postures at any speed, with breath.

Ashtanga Yoga – slow and structured Vinyasa Yoga.  A modern-day form of classical Indian yoga.  Ashtanga translates to eight branches, of which Asana – physical yoga with breath – is only one branch.  Ashtanga is a highly structured yoga with a set series of postures – same in every class – that are each held for 5-10 breaths.
